Words words words

Here are some of Noah's words that I wanted to capture

Ni - this is his all-purpose word for when he doesn't know what to say. Often it means, "I want" "Put the baby here" and "Down"
Cawr - for every moving vehicle he sees. Sounds very Bostonish
Ki-Ki - Kitty cat
Mommy, Daddy, Baby, Gigi - the people he loves most
Pea - Please
tank oo- thank you
Way- Wayne, our neighbor
Noah - himself or Nyla (our neighbor)
Sissy - you'd think this means "sissy" but since we never call Gloria that, it means, "this way" since we're always telling him to go this way
Buh-bye
By-e - Bike
Boo- Book
Dink - Drink

These are a few of my favorites so far. I may have to add to the list later.

Movin right along

I call her my stealth crawler. I never see her do it, but somehow she gets from one area to another. She's also sitting up, propped, pretty good.

A train! A train!

A couple of weeks ago I took Noah to Mount Dora for a train ride. They have a passenger train that does a scenic route and I thought it might be fun. We sat in the open air car where there were no windows. It was a nice relaxing way to kill the day with the kids.

For the love of Toes

Gloria loves to suck on her toes. More so than I ever remember Noah doing it. As soon as she hits the changing table, those toes are headed for her mouth. Anywhere else she can get comfy too. I think she prefers her toes even to her thumb.

Good Night, Sweatheart

Noah loves to play "night night" Too bad he doesn't want to stay in bed when it's really time to go to sleep! Here he is reading to Gigi.

Budding artiste

Today Noah and I painted. Much thanks to Jan who gave me a huge roll of her school paper. I laid it out on the floor and let him go to town. The paint is very washable, so don't worry, none of it is on my floor or walls. We learned some names of colors too in the process.

Cheese Head

Today we had a turkey and cheese sandwich for lunch. For some reason, my beloved child decided to glob the cheese together and smash it in his hair. So, after lunch, he needed a bath. I'm sure everyone else will find this humorous.

Oh, those evil eyes!

A new meaning of cheese curds.

So not happy with soap in his eyes
Ah, much better. A cleaner, happier Noah.

Finger food

Gloria has discovered her fingers. She fits as many as she can in her mouth these days and she's really kicking up the drool factor.
She's such a happy girl lately too. It's real easy to get her to smile. (I haven't seen any dimples yet)

We put her in the excer-saucer for the first time the other day. She's still a little wobbly in it, but between the toys and Noah playing with her, it really captures her attention.
