Travel Pod

One of my favorite sites is TravelPod I added the link to the right there. I created another blog for our trip that shows map locations etc. I like to keep this site just about the kids. I am going to try to update from the road. See ya real soon.

Milestones

Just needed to record some of Gigi's latest milestones before I forget.
Teeth- Two teeth have arrived on the bottom. They finally poked their way through about 2 weeks ago and are really shining now.
Crawling - Gloria's been doing her "military crawl" since she was about 4 months old. Last week she started getting up on her hands and knees. She is moving very deliberately. This week she is starting to get a little bit faster.
Cruising - And speaking of moving, she's been pulling herself up everywhere. And she's really getting around cruising the furniture. She's not very stable out on her own holding our hands but it won't be long.
Babbling - Our little girl is cooing and babbling more and more. She's such a joy to listen to.
Sleeping - yeah, thought I'd throw this one in there. still not sleeping through the night. We're going to start working on it when we come home from my parent's house. For now, when I will be there by myself for so long, we're going to do whatever works.

Swim stories

We went to Lake Louisa state park a few weeks ago. It was nice to get in the water.

Swingers

Noah and Gloria have rediscoverd the swing have outside. He really got a kick out of pushing her and she laughed and squeeled whenever she saw him.

Road Trip

We leave in 2 weeks to visit everyone in MI. I am so excited. I haven't been home since Christmas '04. Wally will be home for a week and Noah, Gloria and I will be there for 4, when he comes back to get us. I can't tell you how excited I am. Oh, I said that already. I'm going to start packing soon. I'm actually excited about the process of getting there. The Road Trip. I'm such a geek, I got a new map and have planned all our stops. Remember Sally in the beginning of When Harry Met Sally, how she had the trip on the visor and planned stops for every 3 hours? That's me. Can't wait. See you all very soon. We'll do lunch.

How many anytime minutes is that?

Here she is, all ready to be a teenager on the phone.

Uncle Donald had farm

Here are the pictures from our trip to the farm day that I had told you about. That's one of Noah's new friends Viktor. Viktor was much braver than Noah when it came to getting near the animals

Line em up and haul em out

Noah likes his moving vehicles lined up and ready to roll. doesn't matter if it's the bikes for the yard, the cars in his room or for some reason, moving the cars to the bathroom!

Once Upon a Potty

yep that's right, we've entered the world of potty training, so, for those of you who might be squeamish on this topic, I suggest you skip this post.
Noah started all on his own the other day by telling us he had to go pee. We've been talking to him about it for a while now but hadn't really planned on doing anything about it until after our 20 hour road trip up north. Well, I guess we can't deny he's starting to be ready. I still remind him to go and find that letting him run bare-butt around the house is the best way to get him to notice he has to go. So far he's gone about once or twice a day. Today was more. The funny part of this story... when he sits down to go pee, after he's done, he looks at me and says "more?" like I can make more come out of there!!

Animal Farm

Today our playgroup went to a place called Uncle Donald's Farm. I'll have some pictures to share later, I just wanted to remember everything they had there. It's a great little farm with lots and lots of animals to see. We saw Roosters, Chickens, Bunnies, Owls, Ducks, a Coyote, a Panther, Deer, Turkeys, Goats, Cows, Pigs, Horses, Donkeys. We got to take a hay ride and were able to feed the cows. We also saw llamas and ostriches out in the pasture. It was a very nice day and Noah seemed to have a lot of fun. We even got to feed a kid (baby goat) but Noah was a bit timid and a little afraid of being too close to some of the animals. He had no problem of course with giving me hay or corn to feed them however! The Roosters (there were quite a few) also scared Gloria at first with their loud and persistent Cock a Doodle Doo!

Here's some info about our playgroup since I haven't mentioned them before. I met some ladies at the library and we started getting together with our kids. There's Kathy and her son Ryan, who just turned 3. Christie and Viktor, who is very close to Noah's age, and Leslee and Eric who I knew from the theatre. All boys interestingly enough.

And, one more random note. I started a myspace space just for me. This area is about the kids and our family.
